We also run refugee for women and or with children fleeing domestic abuse, single mothers with children that require accommodation and support services.
Our support service for older people with complex needs promotes independence, choice, and control.
We encourage and motivate people to do as much as they can for themselves in a person centered approach, by helping them to gain practical and cognitive skills through personalized support.
The people we support have choice and control in their lives and a voice which shapes our services, based on their views and preferences. We provide support so that people can move on to live independently or provide permanent semi-independent accommodation with support when complete independence isn’t possible. We strive to provide friendly environment where people take ownership of their live and become fulfilled.
At De-light care and Support, we care about the people we support and take pride in the services we offer.
Tailored care and support
At de-lightcareandsupport we believe that working closely with service users and in partnership with a variety of professional services is key in assisting the individuals placed in our care to reach their full potential. We have a highly detailed care planning system in place which is operated based on a thorough pre-placement assessment. As much information as possible about the service user is gathered to ensure we understand why the placement is being proposed and what the care needs are likely to be.
This way, we can develop with the service user, agreed targets and be more specific about the outcomes we want to see for them whilst being able to help service users address issues pertinent to their specific needs as reflected in their individual Care Support Plans
Person-centred Approach
A person-centred approach is where the person is placed at the centre of the service and treated as a person first. Our focus is on the person and what they can do, not their condition or disability. De-light care and support, is focus on achieving the person’s aspirations and tailored to their needs and unique circumstances.
Supports the person, at the ‘centre of the service’, to be involved in making decisions about their life taking into account each person’s life experience, age, gender, culture, heritage, beliefs and identity requires flexible services and support to suit the person’s wishes and priorities, where people are acknowledged as the experts in their life with a focus on what they can do first, and any help they need second includes the person’s support networks as partners. Our person-centred approach supports and enable a person to build and keep control over their life.
Our Accommodation
We offer a range of housing with support, designed to meet people’s individual needs and naturally encourage independence.
We provide care and support in communal settings: from shared houses, to larger purpose-built apartment buildings where people have their own flats with access to communal facilities.
Our properties are all located in residential areas, close to local amenities, leisure facilities and employment opportunities. Whatever the set-up, we provide a safe and homely environment, where personalised support is delivered to help people live as independently as possible.
Through elements of communal living, residents make new friendships, develop social skills and can get involved in group sessions such as cooking, gardening and film nights.
